The CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Fundamentals course is designed to provide delegates with a broad skill set for using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE. It is a starting point for CATIA & the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and the knowledge gained is a prerequisite for many more specialised training courses. CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Fundamentals should not be viewed as just a basic course, as together with the key CATIA skills that are on offer, the student will also pick up very important advice on engineering methodologies. The course includes a mixture of presentation and tutorial, enabling students to gain hands-on experience.
Course Materials:
To align with our sustainability mission we now provide paper-free training materials. You will have access to the Dassault Systèmes online training platform for 3 months after the start of the course. In this time you can do exercises and continue your self-study. You can also make use of the other available modules in line with your granted access Roles.

- Introduction to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
- Creating a new PLM Object
- Creating & constraining sketches
- Creating Solids using features
- Transformations
- Dress-up Features
- Creating basic parameters and formulas in the 3D
- Creating Assemblies
- Constraining Assemblies
- Drafting
Who Should Attend?
New CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Mechanical Designers.
Prerequisites:
Previous CAD experience would be useful but is not essential for this course Experience with the Windows operating system.
